This is the Ottawa Byward market scene that greeted my great-grand-parents; my grand-parents and my parents on both sides. My father was born in 1899. The market was opened in Bytown 1848 - (the year
my great-grand-parents arrived from Wexford, Ireland) - Bytown was later
to become "Ottawa", the Capital of Canada.
