This view looks  towards Duffern Bridge from Major Hill Park behind the Chateau Laurier in Ottawa Canada.  The bridge goes over a canal that begins at the Ottawa River and ends at Kingston Ontario. The canal was built as an alternate supply route in case the  Americians invaded  Canada. I estimate that the water colour  was painted in the 1930's.
